Cebu’s gaming, technology, animation, and creative communities came together for ICon 2026 – Imaginators Convention, held on September 12–13, 2026 at SM Seaside City Cebu – Cube Wing.
Organized by Cebu Institute of Technology – University (CIT-U) through Wildcats PlayLab, the two-day gathering brought together students, gamers, aspiring developers, animators, creatives, and industry professionals for an exciting mix of game showcases, cosplay, interactive exhibits, and industry talks. 🎮
One of the highlights was the showcase of 11 CIT-U student teams from the NEXT LEVEL: Esports Game Dev Challenge of DOST Central Visayas, giving attendees an opportunity to experience their games and meet the young developers behind them.
The event also featured insights from industry professionals and organizations, including gamigo and the Game Developers Association of the Philippines (GDAP), helping connect students with opportunities in the growing creative technology industry.
More than a convention, ICon 2026 showcased the creativity, talent, and potential of Cebu’s next generation of game developers, animators, multimedia artists, technologists, and creative professionals. 🚀🎨
