True Vine Garden Columbary Introduces a New Vision for Memorial Spaces in Cebu City

A fresh approach to memorial development is emerging in Cebu as True Vine Garden Columbary continues to gain strong market interest, offering families a tranquil garden environment to honor and remember their loved ones.

Since construction began in November 2023, the project has been gradually reshaping traditional perceptions of columbariums by creating a landscaped sanctuary within the city a space intended not only for remembrance, but also for reflection and the celebration of life.

Market response has been notably strong.

The first phase, Hardin Betanya, is now fully sold, while the second phase, Hardin Nazareth, is quickly nearing full occupancy due to sustained demand from both families and investors.

Sales are currently ongoing for the third phase, Hardin Bethlehem, which continues to attract buyers seeking to secure space in what is becoming a landmark memorial development.

Meanwhile, Hardin Kana, Cebu’s first columbary dedicated to pets, has also seen steady uptake, reflecting a growing trend among pet owners to provide meaningful and dignified resting places for their companions.

Interest in the development has extended beyond individual buyers to include wholesale investors and overseas purchasers, many of whom recognize the emotional significance and long-term value of centrally located memorial spaces.

According to Allan Ballesteros, Business Development Director of True Vine Garden Columbary, the project addresses the evolving realities faced by rapidly urbanizing cities like Cebu.

“As Cebu City continues to grow, space for traditional burial is becoming increasingly limited, while cremation rates are rising,” Ballesteros explained. “True Vine offers a respectful and accessible alternative a peaceful garden setting where families can continue to visit, remember, and celebrate their loved ones.”

He added that the strong market response since the project’s launch highlights how the concept resonates with contemporary families.

“We have seen overwhelming interest since breaking ground in 2023. Demand is coming not only from Cebu-based families but also from investors and overseas buyers who recognize the long-term value of memorial properties in prime urban locations.”

For Managing Director Joseph So Jr., the development represents a shift in how memorial spaces are envisioned and experienced.

He emphasized that remembrance should go beyond mourning.

“It should also be about gratitude, reflection, and honoring the legacy of those who have shaped our lives.”

Following the project’s strong performance in Cebu City, the company is now preparing for expansion.

Plans are underway for a resort-inspired columbary in Lapu-Lapu City, envisioned as a memorial destination where families can gather and spend meaningful time together in a serene, resort-like setting.

At the same time, the company is exploring opportunities to introduce the True Vine concept to other urban centers across the Visayas and Mindanao, where demand for modern memorial developments continues to grow.
