Management Association of the Philippines (MAP) Mini-General Membership Meeting and Economic BRIEFING in Cebu

The Management Association of the Philippines (MAP) held its Mini-GMM and Economic briefing at Seda Ayala Center Cebu and inducted 22 new members together with Cebu City Mayor Mike Rama who officiated the induction ceremonies.

Guest speaker Dr. Cielito Habito, Chair, Brain Trust, Inc. Governor – in – Charge, MAP Cluster on Resilience and Recovery provided insights about the Philippines economic status and recovery efforts.

Campaign against malnutrition

MAP also launched its campaign against malnutrition and child stunting supporting the multi-sectoral approach to address malnutrition and child stunting to complement the Philippine Multi-Sectoral Nutrition Project (PMNP) of the present administration with the goal to contribute to the improvement of the overall nutritional status of Filipino children.

—Organized the Agribusiness and Countryside Development Foundation which is dedicated to improving agri-business and food security.

—Helped form the Shareholders Association of the Philippines (SharePHIL) which protects the interest of minority investors.

—Supported the creation of the Judicial Reform Initiatives (JRI) which serves as the voice of business in pushing for reforms in the administration of justice, which is critical to sustainable economic growth, global competitiveness and the promotion of social justice.

International affiliation

MAP is also a member of the Asian Association of Management Organizations (AAMO), a regional association of management organizations that promotes, facilitates and supports the development of professional management in the Asia-Pacific Region. The Philippines joins the rest of the AAMO members from Australia, Hongkong, India, Macau, Malaysia, Nepal, New Zealand, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.
